PORTUGUESE CITIZENSHIP

5 years after of receiving the Golden Visa, you are entitled to apply for Permanent Residency, which will be easily granted with only a simple language test required.

 

Alternatively, or simultaneity, you can also apply for citizenship and a passport. It is not necessary to live in Portugal, but again a basic language test is required. The difference between Residency and Citizenship:

Both have similar rights, however, with the passport you have the right to vote in the general election and your citizenship will be inherited by your children.
